The company was founded in early 2017 from the idea and desire of the two partners, as well as life companions, Angelo and Simona, to bring their passion for hospitality to their guests. This is how "Mate in Travel" was born, an incoming travel agency specializing in creating tailor-made experiential journeys in Matera and throughout the Basilicata region, as well as in nearby Puglia. As the very name "Mate in Travel" suggests, our philosophy is to be good travel companions, who, with reliability and professionalism, accompany guests throughout their journey. Our specialty is creating personalized itineraries through exclusive tours that cater to various passions: food and wine, art and culture, photography, and wellness. Our mission is to inspire visitors through the beauty of our territory and our passion for what we do, guided by the values of courtesy and professionalism that define us.
