OUR JOURNEY TOWARDS ZERO EMISSION

Since 2020, the hotel has embarked on a sustainability journey in collaboration with the University of Bologna, following the objectives of the 2030 Agenda. Among the actions undertaken, the installation of photovoltaic panels, which meet approximately 20% of the energy needs, and the installation of heat pumps to heat and cool the structure, have allowed emissions to be reduced by 50%. In the spring of 2022, we began a partnership with an urban beekeeping project and almost 150,000 new guests arrived at the Cosmopolitan Bologna hotel. They are bees for whom we built 3 rooms (their hives): to protect them, host them and "make them come back!" Every year they give us delicious honey that we share with our most loyal guests! Our guests can read newspapers and magazines from all over the world simply by connecting to the Hotel's Wi-Fi. Everything online at your fingertips on your smartphone, PC or Tablet, thus minimizing the environmental impact, for sustainable reading. We have free water dispensers on every floor to reduce the use of plastic by 2 tons (about 48,000 ½-liter bottles) with the contribution of our customers. In collaboration with Hera, we have equipped all our common areas with bins for separate waste collection!
