Information
Day 1: Petra
Disembark your flight, grab your bags, and head straight to the famously gorgeous, ancient, rose-red city of Petra. If you arrive early enough, spend some time exploring the Petra Museum, grabbing a drink at "the oldest bar in the world," or exploring Petra by Night (a candle-lit display in the old city that starts at 8:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).
Day 2: Petra - Wadi Rum Camp
Put on your best walking shoes and make your way into ancient Petra — one of the modern 7 Wonders of the World. Wander through the Siq gate to the magnificent, imposing Treasury, the entrance guarding the ancient Nabatean city. Once inside, explore the amphitheater, caves, and tombs. And, finally, once you've had your fill of stone columns and red rocks, board the van and make your way to the desert of Wadi Rum where you'll sleep under the stars in a Bedouin camp.
Day 3: Wadi Rum - Aqaba
Grab a seat on a four-by-four Jeep and head deep into the wild, red desert of Wadi Rum, following the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia. Climb sand dunes and rock bridges. Wind through valleys, canyons, and dunes. Discover rock inscriptions. And take in sweeping views of mountains and narrow gorges. Once you've had your fill of wild landscapes, drive south to Aqaba for the night.
Day 4: Aqaba - Dead Sea
Spend your fourth day in Jordan exploring Aqaba — a beachy port town on the Red Sea. Take a ride in a glass-bottomed boat, enjoying views of the coral below and Jordan, Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia above. Jump in to swim and snorkel with the tropical fish. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at sea. And then return to shore and make your way north to a resort along the water on the famed Dead Sea.
Day 5: Dead Sea & Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, it's time to float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, relax by the pool, or unwind at the spa. It's your last day in Jordan, so make sure to soak up every last moment before boarding the vehicle and heading to the airport.
