2024 YEAR OF ITALIAN ROOTS | How to prepare? Profiles and tips to turn the event into an opportunity

A business opportunity with great potential that is still largely unexplored. Roots tourism, to which 2024 is dedicated, could bring Italy a return of flows beyond all expectations. 
In fact, thanks to a past marked by great emigration, our country has a potential domestic market that is far greater than that of many of our European or world competitors. There is also the advantage of the propensity to spend on the part of this particular type of traveller, which, according to the statistics, would have a much broader and more transversal impact on the national economy than tourism driven by other motives, with significant benefits for sectors such as trade, crafts, signatures and culture. It is therefore an opportunity not to be missed, also because of the unique advantage offered by the resources made available by the PNRR. To discuss the contents of the main studies carried out so far on Roots Tourism, to present a preview of the results of some in-depth studies carried out by Confcommercio in collaboration with the research companies TRA Consulting and SWG, and to discuss them with operators and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism and ENIT: these are the objectives of this conference, which will be held exclusively for the audience of TTG Travel Experience. A date that, on the eve of 2024, is essential in order to draw up a picture of the offer and the potential demand, in order to be ready to take every possible advantage, to attract new segments of travellers and possibly turn them into repeat customers.
